At the Society’s Annual General Meeting on 2 July a Civic Award was presented to the organisers of the Llandeilo Literary Festival – the Lit Fest – in recognition of the excellence of the festival which like the previously awarded Music Festival has notably enhanced what Llandeilo has to offer.

The AGM also included a tribute to Ieuan Jones, a major figure in the community for many years who had recently died and had been a greatly valued speaker for the Society about Llandeilo as it was in former times.
