Talk on Richard Rhys, 9th Lord Dynevor

Richard Rhys, 9th Lord Dynevor (1935-2008) – The most interesting of the Barons Dynevor?

On Tuesday 3 October at 7.30 pm there will be a talk arranged by the Llandeilo and District Civic Society about the life of Richard Rhys, 9th Baron Dynevor. It will be at the Capel Newydd Vestry Hall in Crescent Road, Llandeilo.

The talk will be given by Roy Davies, Llandeilo historian and Vice-Chairman of the Society, who will be aiming to provide a rounded picture of a man described by the distinguished historian of Wales the late Dr John Davies as “perhaps the most interesting of all the Barons Dynevor” and of whom his friend and artistic collaborator the novelist Emyr Humphreys said “if there is still such a thing as nobility, Richard Rhys of all people had it”.

There will be an admission charge of £3 for non-members of the Civic Society.
